Medicinal Garden Weeds
Herbal Half Day – Friday 19th May 2017 at Horizons Vert, Puivert
So how often have you grown weary when pulling up nettles from your garden while muttering about useless weeds?
Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882) reputedly wrote:
“A weed is a plant whose virtue is not yet known”
Whatever the source, a weed is a plant with a virtue. Many weeds help repair soil, feed birds and insects and, of course, bees.
Many so-called ‘weeds’ are actually powerful medicinal allies.
Do you really know the health benefits your garden yields? This half day event aims to help you to get to know these garden friends.
Ruth at Horizons Verts has very kindly offered the use of her tranquil corner of the world, on the edge of Puivert village, as our base for the morning. Horizons Verts is in a beautiful area with both meadow and woodland.
So on to some brief details… Medicinal Garden Weeds Day
We’ll meet at 9.45 am for informal introductions and a 10 am start. We will begin by tasting a herbal tea. After tea we’ll have a chat about the medicinal uses of the tea.
